Applying a mechanical pressure of 300 grams at the path of propogated sensation along channels (PSC) induced by impulsive shocks at the Jing points of the Stomach and Large Intestine Channels, blocking of PSC always occurred on 5 subjects with marked PSC. However, the same pressure acting at the sites 3 centimeters apart from the path of PSC i.e. the control sites, produced very little effects or no block at all. On 2 cases under observation, muscular contractions were observed at the sites near to the impulsive stimuli after blocking. Electrical discharges were recorded by a physiological polygraph. It could be seen that EMG was in parallel with the variations of sensations during the course of blocking.
The facts mentioned above show that the specificity of the path of PSC not only can be substantiated by subjective feelings but also by objective experimental records such as EMG.
