Experiments were performed on twenty five adult rabbits. An electronic instrument with 2 volts and 20 KC alternate output was used in detecting the low-resistance point on the auricles of the animal. Through a specific implanting electrode the ventralis gastricus branch of the vagus and the nervus sympathicus were stimulated in chronic experimental normal conditions. The uninterrupted stimulation of n. vagus within twelve hours led to appearance of large number of low-resistance points on both sides of each auricle. After cutting the cervical sympathetic nerve on one side, the number of low-resistance points appearing on ipsilateral auricle apparently decreased. The stimulation of the gastric branch of sympathetic nerve did not give effective influence on formation of the auricular low-resistance points.
